listed company on Shanghai Stock Market (stock code: 600811). OrientHome
is a backbone business for the OrientGroup, complementing its other
major business, including finance and insurance, information technology,
sea transportation , distribution of building materials ,the high-tech
sector and real estate.
Orient Home was founded in 1999 in Beijing, China and has then become
one of the China¡¯s largest home improvement retailers, operating twenty-six
chain stores (year 2004 stat.), forming an initial logistics system
covering most prosperous regions of China. OrientHome has six chain
stores in capital city of China, Beijing. By the end of year 2004,
the annual sales volume had reached 3.3 billion. Our services include
do-it-yourself, do-it-for-me and also support professional customers
who serve the home improvement construction and building maintenance
market segments.

Today, our stores stock up to offer 60,000 different kinds of building
materials, home furnishings and lawn & gardening equipments. There
are 10 categories of commodities as followed: lumber, doors &
windows, building materials, wall & floor board coverings, paint
& coating, hardware, plumbing &electrical appliances, lighting,
electrical materials, home interiors gardening, kitchen& bathroom
accessories, etc.

OrientHome has the characteristics of united procurement and management;
this is quite different from the traditional style of ¡°stall-type
business¡± in building materials market. Procuring from manufacturers
directly reduces our cost at high level.

real BtoB and BtoC model ,transaction cost can be reduced effectively,
procurement management will be improved and information can be attained
much more cheaply. A network platform, which provides convenience
in procurement sales and value-adding service, will be coordinated
with our high volume of products to form a regional and global trading
system very efficiently.
